Dorothy Tracy

A History of Giving

We credit our values and commitment to philanthropy to our Co-founder Dorothy Tracy, whose spirit lives on at our company. “Right to the end, she was a living example to everyone she touched of humility, kindness, faith, and family first values,” said John Tracy, Dot Foods executive chairman and her seventh child.

Dorothy was active in the Brown County, Illinois community, serving on the school board, the local chapter of the National T.T.T. society, and her church. She volunteered and supported many local charities and played a pivotal role in establishing the Mt. Sterling Community Center YMCA.

Tracy Family Foundation Logo

Separate from Dot Foods’ charitable programs, the Tracy Family Foundation (TFF) was established by Dot’s founding family in 1997 to advance innovative, collaborative, and sustainable change in communities and cultivate a philanthropic spirit in all generations of the Robert and Dorothy Tracy family.

Since its inception, TFF has awarded more than $50 million to organizations primarily located in West Central Illinois. Dot Foods proudly donates a portion of our profits to the foundation to support their mission.
