Innovations Sample Orders

Orders must be submitted using the form at the bottom of this page no later than Tuesday, April 2, 2024  by 11 a.m. CST.

All orders or additions to existing orders submitted past the deadline will be reviewed, but there is no guarantee product will arrive at Innovations. Late orders or additions that are successfully processed will be subject to additional fees.

All sample items ordered through Dot must be stocked with adequate inventory. If any product is not, it must arrive at Dot by April 2 or be shipped directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I submit my sample order to Dot?

All sample orders must be submitted using the Innovations sample form on this page. Please do not submit any Innovations sample orders via DotFoods.com/Shop, as they will not be tracked or accounted for by our Customized Services team. 

It is critical to submit your order by the April 2 deadline to ensure that it is processed.

How much will samples through Dot cost and how will I be invoiced?

For all orders submitted by the sample deadline, we will invoice you net product cost plus $13 per case for dry and $20 per case for temp-controlled. We will provide our normal Sample Express invoice/report, which includes cost details and item information.

Can I send samples directly to Innovations?

Yes. Please see Heritage requirements for labels and shipping samples here.

Can we offer Dot special order items as samples?

We highly recommend only bringing items to Innovations that are stocked at Dot. If you do order special order items, make sure you submit your order at least four weeks before the sample deadline date.

Will I be notified if items are cut from my order?

Dot will notify the order placer as soon as the cut is known. If the cut is known prior to the sample deadline, Dot will give you the opportunity to substitute it with an available item.

How do we get our samples on the day of Innovations?

All cases of dry product will be at your booth when you arrive at Innovations. To receive any temp-controlled product, make an appointment with Heritage at the exhibitor services area to have it delivered to your booth.

How will Dot maintain temperature integrity of our product until it is delivered to our booth?

Once onsite, all product will be stored by Heritage in a temperature-controlled environment (freezer or cooler) until you make an appointment with them to have it delivered to your booth.

Can extra product left over after Innovations be put back in inventory?

Dot does not plan on putting any left-over samples from the show back into inventory. All dry products can be donated through Dot Foods to a local food bank. FedEx will also be onsite if you wish to ship product with the use of your credit/debit card.

How can I get a hold of the Dot sample team while at the show?

The Dot sample team will have a booth at the show near the Heritage booth to answer any questions you might have. There will be a Dot representative from the sample team at this booth from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day of the show. If you cannot locate the Dot sample team booth, please contact us here and they will put you in direct contact with an individual from the sample team at the show.
