Mental Health

Mental Well-Being

We talk a lot about health and safety in our business, and have many teams dedicated to just that. Why? Because keeping you healthy and safe is critical. But, too often, as a society, we limit the scope of health and safety to physical well-being. Your mental health is equally important. That’s why we offer a wide variety of mental health resources to all employees and their dependents—to help you prioritize body and mind.

Time-Off Benefits

Having paid time-off so you spend time with your friends and family, or to take care of yourself and loved ones, is an essential piece of the Dot Foods and Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) benefits packages. Here are the ins and outs of our time-off benefits:

Adoption Leave

Parents are eligible to receive up to five weeks of paid leave following certain legal adoptions. This leave can be combined with other sick, personal, and vacation time and must be taken within 12 weeks of the child’s adoption.

Funeral Leave

You receive paid time off when there is a death in your immediate family, such as a spouse, child, parent, sibling, immediate grandparent, grandchild, stepchild, step-grandparent, mother– or father-in-law, or foster parent or child. A maximum of 32 hours of paid time off can be taken, as well as up to 10 days of unpaid leave depending on the state you live in. For more information, speak to your manager.

Maternity Leave

If you are a female employee who gives birth, you are allowed to take up to 10 paid weeks off work. The time off is a combination of paid leave and short-term disability (STD). Check out the New Additions Guidebook for more detailed information.

Military Leave

If you are a member of any Uniformed Service called into active or emergency duty, may be eligible to receive the difference between full military pay and your regular earnings for up to six months. For more information, reach out to your manager.

Paternity Leave

If you are a father of a new addition, you are given two weeks of paid paternity leave coinciding with the arrival of your child. This leave can be combined with other paid sick, personal, or vacation time and must be taken within 12 weeks of the baby’s birth.
